About Luke Rodgers

Luke Rodgers is a writer and director whose short films have attracted notable British acting talent and screened at major festivals. His early film The Progression of Love starred Oliver Chris and Rachael Stirling, winning the Audience Award at the Paris Cine Rail Film Festival and earning a Best Newcomer nomination at the Rushes Soho Shorts Festival.

He followed this with Missing, starring BAFTA-winning Lauren Socha and Tim McInnerny, which received support from the UK Film Council and premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival before screening across Europe. His short The Tide, starring Michael Byrne, was nominated for Best Film at the Rushes Festival. Rodgers has also directed work for the British Library featuring British screen legends Prunella Scales and Timothy West.

His Film London–funded short iSpy premiered at the BFI London Film Festival, and most recently On the Beaches — winner of the Pears Short Film Fund — premiered at the UK Jewish Film Festival, starring Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us), Toby Woolf and Nicholas Woodeson as Albert Einstein. Across these films, Rodgers has built a reputation for working with exceptional performers and crafting emotionally grounded stories that connect with audiences.
